Not to mention half the time you end up with that damn lute stuck in your inventory the rest of your game. The Mask reference here had me laughing till I cried. And everyone looks so freaking happy! There should definitely be more conga lines in Skyrim.
When i played the bard college quest i was like "oh boy! after all of this is complete i can learn to play an insrument. i want to play the lute, i always want to see my character plays the lute". and then... nothing. Even more disappointing when i randomly see any instrument lying around in the game.
Yeah, I think that might've been just one corner of the game they couldn't quite finish. I can't really fault them, I mean, it's still got more content than any other game I've ever played by an order of significant magnitude, but still... it would be nice to actually have a purpose for that.
Hell, when I first walked through the doors, I was all... "Yeah, I'll be running this place in a week. No, really. I'm Harbinger of the Companions... Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold... I wasn't even trying, it just happens. So why don'tcha just give me the keys to the dean's office right now?"
Nope. Not this time. Which was kind of refreshing, but, hey. I'd like to play a flippin' instrument.
And for some reason, in my game that guy you pictured there is always carrying a lit torch. No matter where he is or what he's doing... lit torch.
The Bard's College wasn't even a full guild, with achievements and whatnot. Damnit they really need to implement game mechanics that have your character play music. Its been a long time coming, Each game has had the instruments as objects you can buy and pick up! lol
Pretty much, right? Bahahaha Nice touch with the song btw XD Not a ton of singing in the Bards college but the quests keep pilling up. Maybe they want your sword to sing as you strike your enemies or something
